I have over five years of experience as a site engineer/inspector and office engineer/CAD operator(2D) here and abroad(Laos). And currently working as Quantity Surveyor/cost engineer (Philippines).

• Read and study construction plans and technical documents in order to prepare estimates 
• Estimate required quantities and costs of variations 
• Request quotations on various set of supplier and contractors to purchasing department and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases to control spending on allowable levels. 
• Evaluate design proposals/quotations to determine which one best meets client requirements while staying within budget parameters 
• Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities 
• Prepare and monitor payment requests related to down payment transactions and subcontractor billings to compensate based on the agreed terms and conditions of the purchase transaction 
• Document any changes in design and update budgets. 
• Keeping track of materials and payments 
• Visit regularly to construction site to get an actual feel for the progress of the project, face-to-face interaction with the construction team, and analyzing the task requirements ahead of time. 
• Prepare cost estimates during the preparation of the future project
