    Job Description

    Position Title: Bar Manager

    Department: Food & Beverage

    Reports To: F&B Manager / Director of Food & Beverage

    Location: Seda Bonifacio Global City (BGC)

    Job Summary

    The Bar Manager is responsible for the overall management, performance, and profitability of all bar outlets at Seda BGC, namely Straight Up Bar, Sikreto, and Pool Bar. This role ensures exceptional guest experience, efficient operations, cost control, and compliance with Seda brand standards. The Bar Manager leads and develops the bar team while driving beverage innovation, sales growth, and operational excellence.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Operations Management

    • Oversee daily operations of Straight Up Bar, Sikreto, and Pool Bar, ensuring seamless service and adherence to company standards.
    • Establish, implement, and monitor bar SOPs, service standards, and operational procedures.
    • Ensure all bar outlets are fully prepared for operations, including staffing, setup, and inventory readiness.
    • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and hygiene in compliance with hotel and regulatory requirements.

    Guest Experience & Service Excellence

    • Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest service across all bar outlets.
    • Personally engage with guests, manage feedback, and promptly resolve service issues or complaints.
    • Maintain Seda's brand image through professional service and ambiance management.

    Team Leadership & Development

    • Lead, coach, and motivate bar supervisors, bartenders, and service associates.
    • Conduct regular training on beverage knowledge, service techniques, upselling, and safety standards.
    • Manage staff performance, discipline, and succession planning in coordination with HRD.
    • Prepare manpower plans and duty rosters aligned with business levels.

    Financial Management & Cost Control

    • Develop and manage bar budgets, forecasting, and cost control strategies.
    • Monitor beverage cost, inventory levels, wastage, and breakages to ensure profitability.
    • Approve requisitions, supplier orders, and ensure proper stock rotation and storage.
    • Review sales reports and implement strategies to maximize revenue and minimize losses.

    Sales, Marketing & Concept Development

    • Create and implement innovative beverage menus, promotions, and events.
    • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to drive bar concepts, activations, and guest engagement.
    • Promote upselling and premium beverage offerings to enhance average check and revenue.
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.

    Compliance & Administration

    • Ensure full compliance with company policies, SOPs, and legal regulations.
    • Prepare and submit operational, sales, inventory, and incident reports.
    • Handle audits, inventories, and management reviews related to bar operations.
    • Ensure proper documentation of incidents, breakages, and disciplinary actions.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related field.
    • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in bar operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
    • Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, beverage trends, and bar cost control.
    • Proven leadership and people management skills.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
