    The Remote Accountant (TRA) is an innovative BPO in the Philippines that specialises in connecting great people with great Australian Accounting Firms.

    We have an Australian-based client in Victoria who is looking to add another team member to their offshore team.

    Our client is a specialised accounting and taxation practice that works with small to medium-sized businesses. They are looking for an experienced SMSF accountant to be part of their team.

    This role is 100% remote (work-from-home).

    Minimum Experience:

    • You must have a minimum of 2 years proven work experience as an SMSF Accountant with an Australian accounting firm.
    • Experience in business tax compliance is a bonus.

    The role includes:

    • Processing of SMSF data manually or via data feed to trial balance stage
    • Reconciling of investments and investment income
    • Reconciliation of contributions, expenses, tax and pensions
    • Preparation of SMSF financial statements and associated workpapers
    • Preparation of SMSF income tax and regulatory returns
    • Opportunity for career advancement and to be trained further in Australian business tax compliance (BAS/IAS, tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies & trusts)

    Other Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar discipline
    • Proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel & Word is a must
    • Extensive knowledge of BGL Simplefund360 and XPM
    • Extensive knowledge or willingness to learn FYI docs
    • Experience managing multiple clients
    • Must be highly organised and detail-oriented
    • Proven ability to communicate with a variety of people at all levels of an organisation, as well as experience working with various clients at the same time

    System Requirements:

    • Stable internet connection (at least 80 MBPS)

    Work Setup and Schedule:

    • Full-time
    • Day Shift (8 Hours)
    • Fixed Saturday and Sunday off
    • Remote/Work-from-home
    • A separate room to undertake work is required
    • Must not be disturbed by electronic devices during work hours
