- Serve as the technical lead and escalation point for managed cloud operations and infrastructure incidents.
- Oversee day-to-day delivery of proactive and reactive cloud services, ensuring adherence to service levels and operational standards.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical direction to cloud operations engineers.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across monitoring, incident response, and operational processes.
- Lead 8x5 cloud infrastructure monitoring and notification, covering:
- Compute resources (vCPU, memory, disk, and network)
- Operating systems (Windows and Linux)
- Databases (SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and similar platforms)
- Antivirus and endpoint security events
- Resource utilization and performance
- Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly backup status reporting and ensure backup reliability.
- Own critical infrastructure patch management, ensuring timely and compliant patching.
- Lead monthly cost optimization and usage reviews, including:
- Right-sizing recommendations
- Capacity planning
- Consumption and usage trend analysis
- Oversee cloud security monitoring and alerting, ensuring timely detection and response.
- Lead Identity and Access Management (IAM) support activities.
- Oversee delivery of managed database services, including SQL, MySQL, and MongoDB platforms.
- Lead managed network services, including firewall, WAF, and IDS/IPS operations.
- Provide oversight and technical direction for CI/CD pipeline management in collaboration with DevOps teams.
- Own backup and business continuity / disaster recovery (BCDR) management, including:
- Planning and execution of disaster recovery drills twice per year
- Oversee antivirus and antimalware management and endpoint security incidents.
- Act as lead for configuration change requests and infrastructure incident management.
- Lead problem resolution and root cause analysis for all Priority 1 (P1) incidents.
- Provide technical solution design and consultation for cloud and infrastructure initiatives.
- Drive cost optimization and performance tuning across cloud environments.
- Oversee encryption and key management services.
- Ensure operational support for on-premise infrastructure services, including:
- Windows and Linux operating systems
- DHCP
- DNS
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor, delivering customer success advisory and strategic recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive experience in cloud operations, infrastructure support, or managed services environments.
- Proven experience acting as a technical lead or senior escalation point.
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, operating systems, databases, networking, and security operations.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, patching, backup, disaster recovery, incident management, and cost optimization.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Cloud platform certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS, or equivalent).
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premise environments.
- Knowledge of security monitoring, encryption, and key management practices.

This role provides technical leadership within a managed services model, overseeing operational execution, incident response, problem resolution, and continuous service improvement.
