Job Description
The Accounting Specialist provides accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including accounts payable desk, general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.


Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Understand accounting principles and standards and taxation and relevant laws sufficiently to perform the job

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of client's accounting policies

Execute the procedures in the work program assigned by the Senior Accounting Specialist

Update superiors of work progress; gives feedback on work performed, difficulties encountered, and issues identified

Upon instruction or approval by the Manager, communicate with the client with regard to accounting instructions, issues, etc.

Make effective use of job-related tools (e.g. Oracle, MS Office, Lotus Notes, etc.)

Produce deliverables that are 100% correct at all times

Submit deliverables within set deadlines

Assume new or different work assignments and schedules willingly and modify work methods to meet changing needs of the team or client, without compromising ethical standards

Seek creative, new, and different ways to accomplish objectives better

Show receptiveness to new ideas and perform new and different approaches with a positive attitude and commitment to success

Perform any task or assignment that may, from time to time, be delegated by the Senior Accounting Specialist and Manager


Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant

At least one year of experience in finance and accounting

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications


Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to accounting software

Well-organized and detail-oriented

Strong time management and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and with a team
