IT Infrastructure Associate - Cebu - Harris Global Business Services (GBS)

We're looking for an IT Infrastructure Associate to join our dynamic, remote team. You'll support SmartWorks' technical operations across Sales, Professional Services, and Support ensuring client systems and projects run seamlessly. As part of our R&D team, you'll help bridge business needs with technical solutions, driving client success and operational growth.

What You'll Do

• Manage hosted client application systems and internal R&D environments (databases, networking, and storage)
• Provide primary OS and database support for customers
• Develop and maintain automated unit test suites
• Install, configure, and maintain QA infrastructure
• Design and execute testing plans and strategies
• Collaborate with Sales for technical inputs on proposals
• Remotely install and configure hardware, OS, and databases for client implementations
• Perform bug fixes and source code maintenance tasks

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Experience supporting Linux OS (Red Hat, CentOS, etc.)
• Knowledge of network administration, including firewalls and VPNs
• Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Experience working with cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
• (Nice to have) Experience with Apache Kafka, Kubernetes/Docker, and CI/CD pipeline tools
