    Job title: Senior Graphic Designer (Beauty Packaging)

    Type of employment: Full-time

    Shift Schedule: Flexible, with preferred overlap of 9:00 AM–5:00 PM ET (New York time)

    Were hiring a senior, production-focused Packaging Graphic Designer to execute primary and secondary packaging for beauty consumer goods. This role is execution-heavy (not branding) and requires strong technical accuracy, creating factory-ready mechanical files, dielines, and print-ready artwork while following strict brand guidelines. The ideal candidate is fast, highly organized, and works independently without hand-holding.

    The client is a large U.S.-based company in the Beauty & Wellness space creating consumer goods packaging for production and manufacturing partners.

    Objective of this role:

    • Produce on-brand, trend-driven packaging for beauty consumer goods (regular + seasonal lines)
    • Deliver print-ready mechanicals with accurate dielines, specs, and organized files
    • Maintain high speed and accuracy while managing multiple projects and deadlines
    • Ensure every packaging execution follows internal brand guidelines and retail-ready standards

    Responsibilities:

    • Create and update primary and secondary packaging for beauty consumer goods
    • Build production-ready packaging mechanicals (dielines, layouts, spec adherence, print files)
    • Translate trend direction into packaging that remains consistent with brand guidelines
    • Prepare clean, organized Illustrator files for handoff (layers, naming, versions, linked assets)
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
    • Collaborate cross-functionally (ops, product, vendors/printers) to finalize packaging details
    • Support seasonal line refreshes and quick-turn updates as needed

    Required skills and qualifications:

    • 5+ years of graphic design experience with a strong focus on CPG packaging (Beauty/W Wellness preferred)
    • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (daily use for packaging/mechanicals)
    • Strong experience producing technical packaging files: dielines, mechanicals, print-ready artwork
    • Demonstrated ability to follow strict brand guidelines and execute accurately in a production environment
    • Fast, independent executor with minimal need for hand-holding
    • Highly organized with exceptional file management and attention to detail
    • Strong communication skills and ability to ask clarifying questions early
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and multiple active projects

    Preferred skills and qualifications

    • Experience designing packaging across multiple SKUs, sizes, and seasonal variants.
    • Familiarity with retail compliance requirements and packaging version control.
