    GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Participate in design and development of Qarbon's cloud native applications
    • Demonstrate strong architecture and design skills building high-performance APIs using AWS
    services and Python.


    • Design and implement highly scalable, interactive web applications with high usability
    • Coaching and collaborating with junior software engineers
    • Collaborate with product teams to iterate ideas on data monetization products/services and define
    feasibility


    • Rapidly iterate on product ideas, build prototypes, and participate in proof of concepts
    • Collaborate with internal and external teams in trouble shooting functional and performance
    issues. With a Strong understanding of Security issues and Topics.


    • Work with DevOps Engineers to integrate any new code into existing CI/CD pipelines, use of
    GITHub for code management.


    • Hands-on experience in Python, Typescript/Next JS/NodeJS, React, RDBS, NoSQL, API, AWS, MQTT,

    SSO

    • Knowledge with system integrations (e.g. Salesforce, ServiceNow)
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in software
    development.


    • Perform other assigned tasks as necessary

    Qualifications


    • 4-Year College Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field
    • 7+ years of experience in software development
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing high performance APIs & Web applications
    • 5+ years of experience in building APIs using AWS services, specifically using Python,
    • Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a supervisory/managerial role
    • AWS Certifications area a plus
    • Project Management certifications (e.g. PMP) a plus
