Job Purpose

The Financial Reports & Tax Compliance Assistant is responsible in the preparation, computation and filing of various BIR Returns in an accurate and timely manner. The job requires to be updated on various BIR Rulings as well as issuance, monitoring and filing of BIR Forms 2307 (CWT). In addition, the job is also responsible for other regulatory compliance (LGU, IC, SEC, etc.) and financial reporting and reconciliation.

Roles and Responsibilities

Tax Compliance. Prepare, compute and file several BIR returns such as, but not limited to ITR, VAT, DST, Compensation Tax, Final Taxes on or before deadline. Ensure that the processes and reporting are following the BIR. Analyze general accounting transactions to minimize tax exposures. Prepare annual reconciliation/analysis of taxes.
Issuance and checking of BIR Forms 2307. Checking, filing and monitoring of CWT for Income Tax Computation.
Processing of New Branches Registration to the BIR. Consolidate requirements from Admin for submission to the BIR. Payment of VAT Registration Fee and preparation of BIR Form 1903. Monitor submission and follow up any pending COR from the BIR.
LGU Regulatory Compliance. Comply with various requested requirements from LGU as needed.
Reconciliation & Preparation of Schedules for External Audit Purposes. Assist in the reconciliation and compliance during BIR assessments.
Annual Statement Schedules and Various Reports. Prepare annual statement schedules and supporting documents related to taxes.

Qualifications

Candidate must be a BS Accountancy graduate; Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
With at least 2-3 years of related experience in taxes, audit, accounting or financial reports.
Focus area on tax and other regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
Proficient in MS Office (word & excel).
With keen attention to details.
Collaborative, Agile and Resourceful.
With excellent attention to detail, Organizational Savvy and Results oriented.
