Responsibilities

A general accountant is responsible for managing the financial records and transactions of an organization. The following job description outlines the key duties and responsibilities of a general accountant:

Financial reporting: Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
Accounts payable and receivable: Process invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely payment of bills and collection of outstanding debts.
