    Global Market Operations, also known as COCE (Client Operating Center of Excellence), is divided into four departments: Trade Processing & Support, PnL, Client Management, and Change Management. In the wider market, Product Control is commonly referred to as Middle Office. It consists of several streams such as Documentation & Reconciliation, Trade Support, P&L, and Trading Portfolio & Controls. Product Control teams work closely with Market Front Office, Regional Back Offices, Regional Finance, and other support teams for their business‑as‑usual activities.

    Position Purpose:

    We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Sr. Associate to join our trade validation team. In this role, you will be the primary line of defense in ensuring the accuracy of our OTC derivative portfolios. You will manage the lifecycle of trades from execution to validation, ensuring that our positions, valuations, and risk data are perfectly aligned.

    Key Responsibilities:

    As a core member of the operations team, your duties are divided into three primary pillars:

    1. Trade Validation & Control

    • Validation: Perform real-time validation of trades booked in front-office systems, covering Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), Cross Currency Swaps (CCS), and other Rates products.
    • Lifecycle Management: Monitor and validate futures contracts to ensure timely clearing and settlement.
    • Integrity Checks: Execute PV (Present Value) checks and run stringent controls on key trade elements to eliminate downstream errors.
    • Escalation: Identify and immediately escalate mismatches or anomalies that indicate incorrect positions or unauthorized transactions.

    2. Process Optimization

    • Challenge the Status Quo: Constantly review existing workflows to identify bottlenecks and enhance trade-capture efficiency.
    • Reporting: Maintain rigorous logs of exceptions and ensure all validation gaps are reported and resolved promptly.
    • Project Support: Contribute to global and local initiatives, including system migrations and productivity-driven automation projects.

    3. Ethics & Collaboration

    • Professionalism: Maintain the highest standards of ethics and compliance in accordance with regulatory requirements.
    • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with remote teams and various stakeholders (Front Office, Risk, and Settlements) to resolve complex trade discrepancies.

    Technical & Behavioral Competencies

    • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of Rates Derivatives (IRS, CCS, Options, etc.).
    • Technical Tools: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VBA or Macro knowledge is a plus).
    • Analytical Rigor: A result-oriented mindset with the ability to make high-pressure decisions regarding trade accuracy.
    • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving financial environment.

    Candidate Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in Middle Office Trade Capture or Trade Validation.
    • Familiarity with Rates Documentation and Settlements processes.
