- Provide day-to-day legal advice and support to the Operations and Maintenance group of the SNAP power generation companies.
- Ensure operational activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Handle the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements to safeguard company interests.
- Deliver secondary legal support to all other support groups (e.g., insurance, finance, HR, procurement, administration) on matters affecting the maintenance and continuity of business operations.

- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with energy, taxation, labor, occupational health & safety, environmental, land, and indigenous peoples' laws.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks across operational and support functions.
- Handle reply and remediation of notices of violations and show cause orders received by the operating companies, and represent the company in proceedings with government/regulatory agencies.
- Develop and implement compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Represent the Company in litigations/disputes with courts and administrative agencies, and in proceedings with the Energy Regulatory Commission and other quasi-judicial entities.
- Direct the case preparation and oversee the filing and handling of cases with the proper courts, or government agencies/regulatory agencies.
- Spearhead negotiation and settlement strategies to minimize exposure and protect company assets.
- Engage with government agencies, regulators, local government units, and indigenous communities to ensure compliance and maintain constructive relationships.
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters, fostering awareness and accountability across the organization.
- Strong knowledge of energy laws, taxation, labor regulations, occupational health & safety standards, and environmental legislation.
- Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements.
- Ability to conduct legal risk assessments and develop compliance policies and procedures.
- Skilled in preparing legal opinions, reports, and documentation for senior management.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant legal practice, preferably in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sector.
- Demonstrated experience in providing legal support to operations and maintenance teams, with exposure to contract administration, labor and employment law, occupational health & safety, and environmental compliance.
- Background in handling regulatory matters involving government agencies, local government units, and indigenous peoples' rights.
- Proven track record in dispute resolution, litigation management, and negotiation of settlements.
- Experience in corporate governance, ethics, and compliance frameworks.
- LLB or JD degree
- Admission to the Philippine Bar (lawyer in good standing)
