We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Product Designer to support our product development and manufacturing team.
Job Summary
The Junior Product Designer assists in developing, refining, and documenting product designs to ensure functionality, manufacturability, and aesthetic appeal. This role supports senior designers and engineering teams in creating technical drawings, preparing design revisions, and contributing to product improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design Support & Concept Development
- Assist in conceptualizing new products and improving existing designs.
- Translate ideas and client requirements into initial sketches and design drafts.
- Support preparation of product presentations and visual renderings.
CAD Drafting & Documentation
- Prepare accurate 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, etc.).
- Assist in developing fabrication drawings, assembly guides, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Update and revise drawings based on production feedback.
- Maintain organized design files and documentation records.
Production & Prototyping Support
- Work closely with production teams to understand fabrication processes.
- Assist in prototype development and testing.
- Help ensure final products align with approved design specifications.
Research & Continuous Improvement
- Research materials, finishes, hardware, and design trends.
- Support design modifications to improve durability, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability.
- Participate in product improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Fresh graduates are welcome; prior internship or project experience in product design is an advantage.
- Basic proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, etc.).
- Strong interest in manufacturing and product development.
- Detail-oriented, creative, and willing to learn.
