    To ensure success as a Senior Software Engineer in IT, you should possess extensive experience in analytics, coding, technical design, and high-level problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business units, subject matter experts, and technical resources to comprehend requirements, develop technical designs, code, create documentation, and assist in validating code quality.

    - Developing software solutions tailored to the information needs of the Medical Solutions Division business.
    - Advocating for and enhancing the Agile software development lifecycle.
    - Assessing the operational feasibility of solution designs through thorough analysis, problem definition, requirements evaluation, and solution development.
    - Creating documentation, flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, and clear code to support system specifications and programming.
    - Conducting systems analysis and suggesting improvements to policies and procedures.
    - Keeping abreast of cutting-edge development tools, programming techniques, and technology advancements through continuous learning and participation in professional development activities.
    - Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues to support the engineering and organizational missions.
    - Potentially overseeing a small team of software engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and assistance in resolving complex technical or design challenges.

    Job Requirements:
    - Develop and optimize database structures, stored procedures, DDL triggers, and user-defined functions.
    - Build complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions in UNIX and Windows environments based on business requirements.
    - Customize, maintain, and create PL/SQL code for new customer needs utilizing cursors, functions, procedures, triggers, and collections.
    - Conduct data modeling and manage complex database triggers and migration scripts.
    - Proficiency in SQL and its variations across different databases.
    - Expertise in optimizing large, complex SQL statements and implementing best practices for relational databases.
    - Hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL for development.
    - Performance tuning of SQL queries, application programs, and instances.
    - Evaluation of emerging technologies and providing technical support for troubleshooting and problem resolution.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (degree must be completed and verified before starting).
    - 8 years of experience as an applications developer in various environments (private, public, government, or military) with both large and small projects.
    - 8 years of experience in PL/SQL development.
    - 5+ years of expertise with Oracle functions, procedures, triggers, packages, and performance optimization.
    - Familiarity with subversion tools for version management, such as SVN, to handle different versions of application procedures and functions.
    - Proficiency in Microsoft Project and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) along with a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle and various SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc).

    Additional Qualifications:
    - Knowledge of PowerBuilder2021 and process improvement methodologies like Lean/Six Sigma Green belt.
    - Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills for technical and senior management audiences.
    - Experience in Oracle DB, PL/SQL, Java, .Net application development, integration components, web technologies, IT and project management tools, and IT-related areas like UI/UX design, Oracle EBS, Data Analysis, and Cloud services (AWS/Azure).
    - Preferred experience in healthcare Order to Cash, Agile methodologies, ITIL certification, and proficiency in UI/UX Design and Development.


    The Senior Software Engineer plays a key role as the primary PL/SQL developer for new application systems within the Medical Solutions Division of 3M, engaging in all aspects of software and product lifecycle management.
