    The Sourcing and Quality Specialist is a pivotal part of the team, responsible for sourcing goods and materials that support new product development.

    This role is involved in onboarding new suppliers and coordinating the quality control process.

    The specialist works collaboratively with the Innovation, Manufacturing Plant Quality, and Testing Labs teams, assisting in the review, approval, and release of approximately 20-40 new products/improvements annually.

    This position reports directly to the Director of Sourcing and Quality.


    Job Details:
    Work from home
    Monday to Friday | 9 AM to 6 PM Eastern Standard Time
    *Following Philippine Holidays
    *This role involves traveling to China to meet with the manufacturers (Once or twice per quarter)
    *All expenses of the travel will be covered by the client.


    Responsibilities:

    • Source international suppliers, especially in China, to support new product developments.
    • Generate quote and quality comparisons to aid supplier selection.
    • Troubleshoot material, production, and quality issues with vendors, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Keep accurate documentation and submit detailed reports to relevant team members.
    • Contribute to the implementation and execution of policies and procedures across manufacturing sites.
    • Understand, interpret, and apply various certification standards, ensuring production records align with specification sheets.
    • Coordinate testing with 3rd party labs.
    • Track vendor performance and maintain vendor documentation and certifications.
    • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve favorable pricing and terms.
    • Travel to China on an ad hoc basis for manufacturer visits and inspections.
    • Manage any other assigned projects as required.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, or equivalent.
    • 3-5+ years of experience in sourcing & new product development with contract manufacturing.
    • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft Excel, and project management tools.
    • Strong understanding of BOM level product costing, including raw material properties.
    • Solid quantitative skills in material planning and forecasting.
    • Ability to build timing & action calendars, manage timelines, and communicate risks or opportunities cross-functionally.
    • Prior experience in health and wellness brands (supplements, mom/baby products, etc.) is a plus.
    • Experience managing supplier relationships in Asia is a plus.
    • Experience in NetSuite is a plus.
    • Willingness to travel to China on an ad hoc basis for manufacturer visits.
    • Experience working with manufacturers in China with a good understanding of the Chinese business landscape.
