Overview
We are seeking a skilled Transmission Specialist to join our Network Optimization team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the optimization of our telecommunications transmission systems together with RF team. This role is vital to ensuring high-quality and reliable services for our customers and keep improving the network performance and customer experience.
Functions and Responsibilities
• Offer engineering solutions based on a thorough understanding of Data Network architecture, topology, and other configuration details.
• Provide network solutions including fiber optic, microwave, and satellite communications systems.
• Perform regular troubleshooting of transmission equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor network performance and implement enhancements to improve reliability and speed.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate transmission systems with overall network operations.
• Conduct site surveys and manage installations of transmission equipment if needed.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to network configuration and equipment specifications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Provide technical support and training to other team members.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in transmission technology and suggest improvements.

Job Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in telecommunications or a similar role focusing on transmission systems.
• Strong understanding of transmission technologies including SDH, PDH, DWDM, and MPLS.
• Experience with network management and monitoring tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Certification in networking such as CCNA or equivalent is a plus.
• Adaptive to a multi-cultural environment.
