1. REPORTS TO: LABORATORY/ OPERATION MANAGER
CHIEF MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST- LEAD
The Chief Medical Technologist- Lead functions are to effectively assist the Head of the Laboratory and Operations Head the supervision of the activities of the laboratory in accordance with the national standards and administrative policies for the Clinical Laboratory. Planning, organizing and conducting program for the department together with the Head of Laboratory.
· Oversees workflow process, throughput optimization and staff productivity for all laboratory operations.
· General supervision on all the technical aspect of the clinical laboratory operations;
· Ensure that all staff are performing in accordance to their duties and responsibilities;
· Makes requisition for laboratory supplies and other necessary materials for laboratory use while ensuring the inventory maintenance;
· Performs monthly and annual census of the laboratory reports while ensuring the accurate and timely submission to the Head of Laboratory and Department Head for final approvals;
· Assists the Head of Laboratory to formulate the standard operating procedures, policies, guidelines, rules and regulations in the laboratory in consultation with the Pathologist;
· Prepares schedule of duties of laboratory staff and schedule of rotation of all rotating Medical Technologists in the various sections of the laboratory; a copy of which shall be posted in the Laboratory bulletin board.
· Performs necessary communications affecting the Laboratory:
· Reports / Informs the Department Heads about any problems or incompliances encountered in the Laboratory and discusses with them possible solution;
· Reviews literature of new laboratory procedures and submits it to the Head of Laboratory and Department Head for discussions and approval of Presentation/ demonstrations and lectures for all Medical Technologists;
· Accomplishes all the necessary documents for renewal of the Department's license to operate and submits to the Department Head for final approval;
· Assists in preparing and updating the costing of all laboratory examinations;
And performs other duties that may arise from time to time as prescribed by the Laboratory head and or Laboratory manager
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From Php30,000.00 per month
