    The SRE Manager is responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and operational excellence of UNO Digital Bank's production platforms and critical applications. He shall maintain highly available, secure, and resilient systems across a regulated digital banking environment.

    The role requires a hands‑on technical leader with strong operational discipline, deep understanding of distributed systems, and proven experience managing production support for mission‑critical banking platforms.

    Key Responsibilities

    A. Platform Reliability & Incident Management

    • Oversee system reliability, availability, and performance across all digital banking channels and backend systems.
    • Establish, maintain, and govern SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets across services.
    • Lead high‑severity incident response, facilitate root cause analysis (RCA), drive corrective and preventive actions.
    • Ensure proper documentation, prioritization, and closure of production incidents following ITIL and regulatory expectations.
    • Drive continuous improvement to minimize repeat incidents.

    B. Application & Production Support Management

    • Oversee Level 1 to Level 2 production support for all critical applications (core banking, payments, integrations, automations).
    • Maintain deep system knowledge to resolve complex application and environment issues.
    • Conduct proactive system checks, validation tests, and early‑warning assessments to prevent outages.
    • Oversee ticket lifecycle in ITSM platforms and ensure SLA adherence.
    • Manage vendor/third‑party coordination for application‑related issues and releases.

    C. Operational Excellence & Automation

    • Build mature processes for monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability.
    • Drive operational automation to reduce manual toil (scripts, runbooks, job automation).
    • Enable continuous improvement of support workflows, escalation paths, and operational governance.
    • Ensure disciplined change management, release management, and deployment readiness.

    D. Technology, Architecture & Engineering Collaboration

    • Work with engineering teams to design scalable, resilient, cloud‑native systems.
    • Champion Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC), CI/CD best practices, containerization, and system hardening.
    • Validate production readiness of new features, deployments, and system changes.

    E. Risk, Security & Compliance

    • Ensure operational practices comply with:
    • BSP Technology Risk Management
    • ISO 27001
    • PCI DSS
    • ITIL governance
    • Internal audit and risk requirements
    • Enforce segregation of duties, privileged access standards, and operational risk controls.
    • Maintain DR/BCP readiness and participate in bank‑wide resilience exercises.

    F. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

    • Lead and develop a team of SREs, production support engineers, and L2 analysts.
    • Define team OKRs, KPIs, and performance standards.
    • Build a culture of ownership, accountability, urgency, and operational excellence.
    • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Security, Risk, and vendor partners.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Required

    • 7–10+ years combined experience in SRE, DevOps, Application Support, or Infrastructure Engineering.
    • 3–5 years of experience managing technical/operational teams.
    • Strong experience supporting high‑availability, large‑scale distributed systems.
    • Hands‑on experience with:
    • Linux administration
    • Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
    • Networking fundamentals
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Scripting (Python, Bash)
    • Observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk)
    • Strong understanding of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), APIs, microservices, and application runtimes.
    • Experience with ITIL incident, change, and problem management.

    Preferred

    • Experience in fintech, banking, or other regulated industries.
    • Knowledge of core banking systems, payments, transaction processing, or message queues.
    • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, service meshes, and event‑driven architecture.
    • Cloud or SRE‑related certifications (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, ITIL, SRE Foundations).
