Job Summary
As the Product Development Officer, you are responsible for driving sales growth through the development and introduction of ancillary products under the Parts Supply Group. The role focuses on automotive-related products, such as lubricants, chemicals, and vehicle accessories, and involves identifying potential suppliers and business partners to establish strategic alliances. The position also includes presenting new product proposals and developments to stakeholders to secure approvals and support for market launch.
Job Description
Develop new ancillary products aligned with the Parts Supply Group's sales strategy.
Evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to identify growth opportunities.
Identify, evaluate, and engage potential suppliers or business partners.
Establish strategic alliances to support product development and market expansion.
Prepare and deliver product proposals, presentations, and business cases to internal and external stakeholders.
Communicate product benefits, projected sales impact, and implementation plans.
Track product performance and provide feedback for improvement.
Maintain documentation of supplier agreements, product specifications, and project progress.
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree holder in Engineering (Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.), Business, Marketing, or equivalent business-related qualification
Proficient in MS Office
With at least 2 years of experience in Product Development, Business Development, or Sales Support (Automotive or other related industry)
A candidate who can drive four wheeler and has a valid driver's license is a huge plus
