    Job Summary

    The Business Analyst (BA) handles requirements analysis, definition and documentation as well as UAT. Coordinates with multiple units of the bank to analyze and define the detailed system requirements of the project.

    Acts as the Lead BA in scheduling, planning and supporting UAT of complex to very complex projects including the implementation of such.

    The Senior BA also peer-reviews the output of fellow business analysts.

    Specific Duties & Responsibilities

    Requirements Definition and Functional Specifications

    • Coordinates with Business Units and business system policy developers to understand the project's detailed system requirements and scope.
    • Collaborates with Application Developers to confirm feasibility of the application changes and explore other enhancement options that will best address the business need and objectives.
    • Conducts presentation to Business Units on the approval and details of the proposed solution(s).
    • Prepares documentation on the project's system requirements, requested enhancement changes and the final functional specifications for Business Unit's signoff and approval.

    User Acceptance Testing and Pre-implementation Support

    • Plans and schedules UAT activities with users and executes pre-UAT activities.
    • Monitors UAT performance and provides support where necessary.
    • Performs initial evaluation of all issues and errors raised by users and escalates all valid issues / errors / delays due to errors to Application Developers and Project Manager

    Implementation Support

    • Plans and schedules UAT activities with users and executes pre-UAT activities.

    Training

    • Assists Track Lead and other Business units in reviewing requirements documentation of other Business Analysts and other related issues being the subject matter expert on the features and functions of applications
    • Acts as mentor to other Business Analysts
    • Trains Junior Business Analysts

    Skills Requirements

    • At least 7 years of experience in requirements gathering and systems analysis, release management, project management, or service transition
    • Experience working with various business processes in the domains of Banking (loans or deposits)
    • Strong planning and organizational skills
    • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills for working with technical personnel and end-users at multiple levels.
    • Experience with problem solving, workflow systems analysis, process redesign, user training, and documentation
    • Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle
    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross functional work teams toward task completion
    • General PC knowledge including MS Office
    • ITIL certification is a nice to have skill
    • Nice to have experience with deploying packaged applications
