- Design and implement intricate in-game features for a game currently in progress
- Optimize game performance by:
- Decreasing memory usage
- Managing assets efficiently
- Enhancing load times
- Improving rendering performance
- Assist in integrating art, animation, audio, and VFX
- Collaborate with the designer to enhance existing features and gameplay
- Create unity editor extensions when required
- Contribute visually to the game through shaders, post-processing effects, etc.
- Stay updated on new gaming trends and implement relevant ones to enhance our own games
- Update unity asset store assets used and identify valuable features in each update
- Explore new assets in the unity asset store to streamline development processes
- Research and implement necessary frameworks and handle platform-specific certification tasks (Nintendo, Steam, etc.)
- Maintain a repository of game-agnostic code and features for future projects
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the gaming industry
- Capability to construct and lead a small engineering team
- Credited in at least two commercial games from inception to completion
- Proficiency in Unity, C#, and familiarity with standard plugins
- Strong aptitude for building solid game architecture
- Experience in various game programming aspects including tools, gameplay, AI, performance, UI, and graphics
- Ability to work independently with self-motivation
- Avid gamer staying abreast of industry trends
- Previous involvement in console certification
