Job Title: Principal Tech Lead - Full Stack

Location: Ortigas, Pasig, PH

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM PH Time (Hybrid | 3x Onsite, 2x WFH)

Position Overview

Accomplished Principal Tech Lead to serve as the chief engineer across the technology function. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to define, design, and guide the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications built on Microsoft Azure, .NET, SQL Server, and ReactJS.

The Principal Tech Lead will act as a technical authority — driving architecture decisions, modern engineering practices, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple product and platform teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership
• Serve as the overall technical authority across Azure, .NET, SQL, and modern web technologies.
• Define and evolve the enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Drive the adoption of cloud-native, event-driven, and microservices architectures.
• Lead design reviews, technical audits, and system performance optimizations.
• Oversee technology selection, proof-of-concepts, and long-term platform evolution.
• Engineering Excellence
• Champion engineering best practices — CI/CD, DevOps automation, observability, and test-driven development.
• Mentor and coach senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to resolve complex technical challenges and ensure successful project outcomes.
• Drive quality standards, code reviews, and technical governance frameworks.
• Strategic & Cross-Functional Impact
• Partner with Product and Delivery leadership to align technology strategy with business goals.
• Influence technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise and cloud strategies.
• Engage in capacity planning, cost optimization, and security compliance on Azure.
• Represent engineering in executive discussions, bringing technical insight to strategic decision-making.

Core Technologies

• Backend: .NET 6+/C#, Web API, Entity Framework Core
• Frontend: ReactJS, TypeScript, Redux / Context API
• Cloud: Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Azure SQL, Storage, Event Grid, Service Bus)
• Database: Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB (preferred)
• DevOps & Tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform / Bicep, Docker, Kubernetes
• Architecture Patterns: Microservices, Domain-Driven Design, Event-Driven Systems, RESTful & GraphQL APIs

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, including 5+ years in a technical leadership or principal engineering role.
• Proven expertise architecting and scaling complex, distributed web applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Deep understanding of .NET ecosystem, modern JavaScript frameworks, and cloud-native patterns.
• Strong database design and performance optimization experience (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience leading large cross-functional engineering teams in agile environments.
• Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience driving modernization initiatives — legacy-to-cloud migrations, monolith-to-microservices transitions.
• Hands-on coding ability with a focus on high-quality engineering and craftsmanship.
