1st Quarterly Meeting of the Regional Committee for Children

The 1st Quarter Regional Council for the Welfare of Children Region 10 (RCWC-10) Meeting was conducted last March 17, 2023 at the Pearlmont Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City. The RCWC-10 is the subnational arm of the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC). It is at the frontline in promoting and upholding the rights of children in the region.

The National Economic and Development Authority Region 10 (NEDA-10) is a member of said regional committee for children, alongside other regional line agencies, local government units (LGUs), private sector representatives, and other children sector stakeholders. The Department of Social Welfare and Development Region 10 (DSWD-10) serves as the secretariat of the RCWC-10.

Key agenda items discussed during the meeting were the Technical Assistance Plan for the Local Councils for the Protection of Children (LCPCs), the Children-Focused Budget Tagging Tool for LGUs, and the upcoming Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA).
