- Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for software, firmware, and electronic components including the Kanary software platform and IoT devices.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand product designs and specifications.
- Perform manual and automated testing to identify, document, and resolve defects.
- Work with hardware and software tools to simulate and test product environments.
- Analyze test data and report findings to the development team and management.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the field, including software, firmware, and testing tools.
- Assist in the development of quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with software developers, firmware engineers, electronic hardware designers, and management to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and drive quality improvements throughout the development lifecycle
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in quality assurance, specifically with software and firmware testing.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages.
- Knowledge of electronics and experience with hardware testing is highly desirable
- Certifications in Quality Assurance or related fields.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, or Python
- An effective communicator who is well versed in technical concepts.
- A detail-oriented and disciplined individual with strong problem-solving skills.
- An individual with excellent English written oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
