- Create new automation tests to add into the overall automation test suite. Write and review Cypress code, update tests as features change, review merge requests from other members of the automation team.
- Execute automation test plans for new and existing platform features, working closely with manual QAs to port manual regression tests into the automation suite. Ensure these plans are maintained as the features change or removed when features are made obsolete. The overall aim being to reduce perceived defect by the client.
- Maintain (and later create) data sets based on the requirements of the tests, and any updates to the features which require different test data. Eventually expected to progress to creating test data under the guidance of a more senior team member.
- Log time for test plans, with an aim to increase the accuracy of estimates over time, as well as participating in estimating during ticket refinement sessions.
- Participate in scrum ceremonies helping to keep automation sprints going, estimating the effort required for creating new tests, and retrospectives to see how the process can be improved.
- Collaborate with other Quality Assurance Engineers to refine, document, and follow guidelines to produce the highest quality testing and therefore product.
- Be an effective communicator by using clear concise language with appropriate tone; Presenting material both face to face and over screen shares; listening to the views of others, and adapting your own thinking based on their observations

- Who you are
- Experience working in a software or SaaS company
- Technical, scientific, or computer/information technology based university degree
- ISTQB or other recognised testing qualification/certification
- Familiarity with HTML and JavaScript
- Knowledge and experience with Cypress (and JavaScript)
- Knowledge and experience in version control systems (Git)
- Knowledge and experience in API testing
- Knowledge and experience in CI/CD pipeline (GitLab CI)
