    Research Support Officer (Intermediate), be 100% YOU with MicroSourcing

    A Research Support Officer (Intermediate) is expected to:
    Conducting quality control checks on project deliverables (proofreading, checking numbers in reports, tables, dashboards)
    Proof reading and testing online surveys as part of quality control
    Undertaking basic data cleaning, including back-coding and filtering
    Coding free-text survey comments into themes
    Answering incoming emails to our survey email inbox and telephone helpdesk (sometimes high volume) and supporting survey respondents with basic queries
    Making outbound survey reminder or booking calls
    Data entry
    Other clerical support (ad hoc assistance to administrative staff on request)
    Developing charts and custom tables in Microsoft Excel
    Producing template-based reports (in Excel, using macros and VBA) and automating these into PowerPoint, Word, PDF
    Analysing social research information and drafting reports
    What it takes to be part of our team:
    Minimum undergraduate degree – degrees in economics, statistics, actuarial studies and related degrees are highly beneficial

    Technical skills :
    Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams
    Strong proficiency in working with numbers and percentages (in data tables and charts)
    Knowledge of Excel formulas and spreadsheet/database management
    Experience working with SPSS, Q or other statistics package would be advantageous but is not essential.

    Soft Skills:
    Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams
