    POSITION SUMMARY: The Executive Chef is responsible for the overall kitchen operations of the business. The role involves creating and managing the menu, designing, and implementing the kitchen operational processes, managing food/kitchen supplies and food costs, delegating day to day tasks to all employees assigned in the kitchen, food preparation and ensuring good quality food.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Plans and directs food preparation and culinary activities.
    2. Modifies menus or create new ones that meet quality standards.
    3. Estimates food requirements and food/labor costs.
    4. Supervises kitchen staff's activities.
    5. Establishes and maintains control to minimize food waste.
    6. Arranges for equipment purchases and repairs.
    7. Rectifies arising problems or complaints.
    8. Gives prepared plates the "final touch."
    9. Performs administrative duties.
    10. Complies with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
    11. Maintains a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers.
    12. Develops and consistenly updates policies, procedures, processes and techniques to enhance quality of food, equipment, etc.
    13. Collaboration with the team regularly on new trends, techniques, trainings, etc.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor degree in Culinary science or related certificate
    • Adequate experience or a background of demonstrated service and competence in his/her previous field of endeavor
    • Credentials in health and safety training

    • Excellent record of kitchen management
    • Managerial competence and people management skills
    • Effective management of food cost/Kitchen COS
    • Effective management of kitchen inventory level and spoilages
    • Menu engineering/R&D for new menu, seasonal menu and promotional menu items
    • Menu development-Filipino, Asian, Western food
