    The HR Payroll Specialist is responsible for handling overall aspects of the payroll function from consolidation of daily time record to administering accurate and on-time payment of salaries and benefits to the employees, including remittances of statutory contributions.

    The HR Payroll Specialist maintains good understanding of the company's compensation policies and procedures and familiarizes with the minimum requirement of the Philippine labor law pertaining to wages and benefits.

    The duties for this post include but not limited to the following:
    Payroll and Benefits Administration


    • Work closely with the HR Supervisor regarding benefit entitlement of employees specifically on utilization of leaves, medical reimbursement, quarterly bonuses and salary increases.
    • Consolidate DTR for each cut off period; validating entries and determine regular work, night differentials, overtime and holidays that are qualified for premium payment; tardiness and absences for deductions, all in accordance with the attendance policy for each department or project
    • Keep track of new joiners for inclusion in the payroll and holding of salaries of resigned and terminated employees.
    • Finalize payroll instruction consisting of adjustment from previous cut off, loans, benefits, etc.
    • Prepare comparative payroll summary report with justification for increase and decrease in total payment for the current month.
    • Submit payroll report for management approval and initiate payment of salaries in online banking facility.
    • Determine component of resigned employee's final pay.
    • Monitor payment of final pay and ensure release within 30 days from employee's last day of work; ensure employee is cleared prior to release of final pay.
    • Handle preparation of quit claim and release form and secure original signed copies for HR and Finance records.
    • Request activation and deactivation of employee access to e-pay slips
    • Attends to all inquiries of employees related to payroll
    Statutory Benefits and Contributions


    • Update monitoring of all loan vouchers and approvals and submit to payroll service provider for deduction from the employee's salary

    • Review application for statutory benefits, checks for completeness of details and attachment and ensure timely submission and payment (ex. Maternity and paternity leaves)
    • Responds to employee inquiries regarding loan deductions and posting of payments
    • Handle online payment for E-GOV and EPRS and ensure that contributions to Philhealth, SSS and Pagibig are accurate and remitted on time.
    Other Essential Tasks


    • Maintain complete record of monthly payroll report, proof of payment of statutory remittances, benefits, salaries and claims for third party audit
    • Validate any change in status of employee and report for adjustment in computation of withholding taxes
    • Review annual withholding taxes or alpha list and coordinate issuance and filing of BIR form 2316 for both local employees and expat consultants.
