Job Description

Seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Supervisor-Fixed Plant (UG Equipment) to supervise the UG Fixed Plant - Mechanical team in the achievement of maintenance targets to maintain and preserve assets, equipment, utilities and related facilities at optimal cost, efficiency, and quality in a safe and environment friendly manner. The role will report to the Superintendent-Maintenance (Fixed Plant).

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensure team compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment policies and procedures
• Monitor the crew and immediately correct unsafe situations or behaviour. No retribution is to be exercised against any person who stops work or seeks assistance over a genuine and realistic safety concern
• Demonstrate a level of technical skill or knowledge in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and project management
• Enhance performance management processes by recognition on high performances and disciplinary actions on breach of company policies & procedures and improvement plans for below average performances
• Ensure the work team has the tools, procedures and supplies to accomplish task safely
  
  

Qualifications

• Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Corp. Values and the OceanaGold Way
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Mechanical Trade
• Registered Mechanical Engineer is an advantage
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in mechanical and preferably with two (2) years' experience in supervisory role and/or Engineering projects
• Knowledgeable in maintenance of Water Pumps, Grout Pumps and Fixed equipment
• Knowledgeable in Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems and troubleshooting
• With experience in Mining industry is highly regarded
• With a valid Professional Driver's License
