- Own assigned month-end close processes related to a variety of accounting areas, including but not limited to bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting, G&A accounting, and Inventory Accounting.
- Review general ledger coding on invoiced activity for accuracy and action coding overrides as necessary to ensure accurate accounts.
- Prepare and present financial analyses to support account reconciliations, month-end journal entries, ad-hoc reconciliations and analytic requests.
- Investigate, resolve, and document reconciling items.
- Perform analysis of accruals; prepare accrual month-end journal entries; validate aged accruals through reconciliation to vendor statements.
- Keep process documentation up to date for changes in the business and systems.
- Support external audit requests such as pulling invoices and payments and providing support for journal entries during audit periods throughout the year.
- Provide additional ad hoc reports and analyses as requested by the Accounting team.
- An obsession for accuracy and a love to dig into the details.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to reconcile large data sets and develop analytical insights.
- Excellent focus and organizational skills with the ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple tasks according to priority and deadlines.

- A proactive approach to research and troubleshooting items in a timely manner
- The ability to work in a team environment.
- Degree in Accounting; certification is preferred but is not required.
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience in a GL Accounting role with similar responsibilities and a mid to large-size company ( $100 million revenue).
- Detailed understanding of month-end closing processes and thorough understanding of accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills (Power Query experience a plus);
- Familiarity with Oracle and Blackline is a plus.
