- The Project Accountant's primary responsibility is to support the project team regarding:1. Budget and project spend monitoring2. Change order tracking3. Request for payment preparation4. Capital call monitoring5. Preparation of monthly financial reports and any other duties related to the project.
- Closely coordinate with BD, OCTO, Accounting and Treasury to ensure that project costs aretracked on a timely and comprehensive basis.
- Escalate any variations to the budget or any delays in securing internal approvals or in paymentprocessing to the Corfin Financial Analyst.
- Occasionally travel to project sites for job status review meetings. Transportation to these siteswill be provided if needed.
- Reports to the Controller.
- Works with Project Owners to ensure that Purchase Orders, payment requests for invoices areprepared accurately and within assigned timeline.
- Coordinate with Accounting and Treasury to ensure that endorsed invoices have properapprovals and paid within required timelines.
- Collect project purchase order/invoice and payment documents and track these versusapproved budget
- Generate tracking reports on Approved Project Costs compared with Committed Project Cost,Actual Project Cost, Pending Payments, Variation orders
- Other related duties as assigned or needed.
- Coordinate the finance and accounting related functions for assigned projects.
- Assist project teams with any questions or needs related to the accounting department as itrelates to project related expenses.
- Ensure that requests for payments are prepared on time and approvals are secured incompliance with internal requirements.
- Have an understanding of compliance requirements for assigned projects.
