    Role Responsibilities:

    • Ensure organization complies with the reportorial requirements and requests of various regulatory authorities such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and other relevant regulatory bodies.
    • Analyzing contracts: The legal compliance officer should be willing to analyze and become well-versed in contracts. This involves reviewing contractual agreements, identifying potential risks or non-compliance issues, and providing recommendations to ensure contract compliance.
    • Responsible for scheduling appointments with legal counsel or external advisors.
    • Stay abreast of the latest governmental requirements, regulations, and laws relevant to the organization's operations. This includes monitoring changes in tax regulations, labor laws, industry-specific regulations, and any other applicable requirements.
    • Tracking and monitoring business calendar of compliance: This may include board meetings, board resolutions, tax return filings (annual and quarterly), and other important compliance-related activities.
    • Creating minutes of meetings: Taking accurate and comprehensive minutes of the Management Committee meetings, as well as other relevant meetings of the board of directors, to document discussions, decisions, and action items.
    • Reviewing client contracts: Assisting in the review and analysis of client contracts or contracts related to the organization's business operations. Identifying legal and compliance implications.
    • Researching and staying up-to-date on local laws and regulations pertaining to employment practices and ensuring that the organization is compliant.
    • Assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to legal and government compliance.
    • Compliance monitoring and documentation: You must establish processes and systems to monitor ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements. This involves ensuring that all necessary records, documents, and supporting evidence are maintained accurately and securely. You may need to create internal controls, conduct periodic audits, and implement compliance tracking mechanisms.
    • Assist in developing, updating, and communicating HR policies and procedures to employees.
    • Assist the Information Security Officers and HR Manager with reviewing, updating and documenting changes to existing and new information security policies, procedures and internal standards, to meet and comply with regulatory, industry and cybersecurity requirements.
    • Assist in presenting and communicating security policies, procedures, standards, best practices, guidance and controls to review committees and other stakeholders.
    • Review and update HR policies, procedures, and practices to align with current legal requirements.
    • Execute compliance requirements mandated by DOLE (general labor and OSH standards). Generation of monthly and annual reports to be submitted to government agencies.
    • Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as law, business administration, or human resources.
    • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, government and compliance practices.
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.â
    • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
    • Must be able to handle pressure, multi-task and manage time well.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google Slides, slack, zoom, etc
    • Previous experience in legal compliance, human resources, or related roles is desirable.
    • Previous experience with HR systems, policy administration, and previous experience/exposure to HR related processes and disciplines such as compensation, succession planning, recruitment, and performance management
