    As a vital member of the national operations finance team, the Financial Operations Accountant role is central to bolstering our commitment to accurate and timely data delivery to the business echelons, propelling informed decision-making and continuous performance augmentation.

    This position encapsulates a range of core financial accounting functions including, but not limited to, weekly and monthly reporting, customer pricing database management, and month-end accounting activities such as accruals and prepayments.

    The incumbent is expected to exhibit a disciplined, detail-oriented approach, and a fervent enthusiasm towards identifying and driving process improvements.


    Job Details:
    Financial Operations Accountant
    Eastwood Libis, QC (Hybrid - 3 days in the office)
    Monday to Friday | 6 AM to 3 PM
    *Following AU Holidays


    Responsibilities:

    Ensure accurate and timely:
    o Completion of customer pricing file in the ERP system
    o Review of customer pricing claims and pricing alerts


    • Play a pivotal role in the month-end reporting process, particularly in the realms of prepayments, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Oversee the maintenance and first review of credit card coding allocations within the Flexipurchase credit card system.
    • Administer the company pool vehicle tracking system for Fringe Benefits Tax purposes meticulously.
    • Assist in managing fixed assets and finance leasing.
    • Provide robust support in the budget and forecasting process.
    • Prepare ad-hoc analysis as necessitated by the business dynamics.
    • Proactively challenge data deviations beyond normal tolerance levels, fostering a culture of data integrity
    • Exhibit excellent time management and communication skills, ensuring a smooth interface between the finance and other departments.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role or field
    • Actively pursuing or already in possession of an accounting qualification, such as CPA
    • Ability to work in a structured, disciplined manner, consistently delivering on deadlines.
    • Strong aptitude for identifying and implementing process improvements, driving efficiency and accuracy.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering collaborative relationships across the organization.
    • Proficient in using ERP systems and other financial software to ensure smooth operations.
