Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Helpdesk / IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals starting their IT career. You will provide first-line technical support to users, troubleshoot basic IT issues, and assist in maintaining company systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or ticketing system
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, printer, and network connectivity issues
- Install and configure desktops, laptops, and standard software applications
- Assist with email, passwords, and user account concerns
- Support Windows and macOS systems
- Log and track issues using a ticketing system
- Explain tech solutions in a simple, non-technical way
- Document incidents, problems, and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system
- Escalate unresolved issues to Senior IT support teams when necessary
- Support onboarding setup for new employees (equipment & account setup)
- Maintain IT inventory and asset tracking
- Perform routine system updates, backups, and maintenance
- Provide guidance and training to users on IT systems and best practices
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and security procedures
- Have a basic idea of networking (Wi-Fi, LAN, IP addresses)
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
