    Functional SME for Core Banking

    Summary

    As a Functional SME, you will be the foremost expert in core banking systems, guiding the organization to leverage these solutions effectively across various functional areas, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Act as the primary source of expertise in core banking solutions, with in-depth knowledge of the software and its capabilities.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to core banking systems.
    • Provide expert advice and guidance to internal teams, including management, on matters related to core banking solutions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex challenges and provide strategic insights.
    • Lead efforts to configure and customize the core banking system to meet the functional requirements of different business units.
    • Ensure that the system aligns with the specific operational objectives of each functional area.
    • Ensure that the core banking system remains compliant with all relevant banking regulations and standards.
    • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and implement necessary updates to the system.
    • Analyze and resolve complex issues within the core banking system, proposing innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency.
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and system enhancements.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, best practice guides, and reference materials for the core banking system.
    • Prepare reports and analyses to assess the impact of recommendations and initiatives.

    Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

    • Deep expertise and knowledge of core banking systems and their functionality.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration abilities.

    Education, Certifications, and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field
    • At least 10+ years of experience as a Subject Matter Expert in Core Banking Solutions.
