About the role
As the Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial accounting and reporting functions of Advent Manila Hospitality Group, Inc.'. This is a full-time position based in Pasig City, Metro Manila. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the company's financial records and statements, while also providing strategic guidance to support the overall business objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close processes
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure compliance with local and national government mandatories
- Manage banking relations
- Manage cash and inventories to ensure the absence of leakages or pilferage
- Collaborate with the operations team to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making
- Supervise and develop the accounting team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar accounting management role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Excellent knowledge of financial accounting principles, procedures, and reporting standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
- Proficient in using accounting software, spreadsheets, and other financial reporting tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- A proven track record of leading and developing high-performing accounting teams
