- Serves as a business partner to assigned subsidiaries and provides capacity building and advice on applying ERM practices to improve performance by the business units. Handholds the respective risk departments of subsidiaries in the implementation of a standard set of policies, procedures and tolls within the conglomerate. Keeps a mirror record of the living risk registers of assigned business units.
- Ensures the line functions are aware of the risks they own and literate on the processes for analyzing and communicating risk information to management. Engages individual risk process champions in the implementation of ERM through the provision of trainings and guidance
- Facilitates the identification and analysis of business risk information by risk owners, particularly at the tactical and execution level. Performs deep dive analyses with risk owners on their operating data sets that are used for reporting on key risk indicators. Performs or facilitates targeted risk analysis outside routine risk management ad reporting process.
- Facilitates the discussion with risk owners on action planning to manage identified risks or anticipated risk events (including business continuity) and makes a preliminary assessment of the effectiveness of the risk treatment proposed.
- Collects and validates updates from risk owners on the status of risk management action items. Coordinates with risk owners on the preparation of risk reports for the review of the CRO or ERM Department Head and validates the data sets that support the KRI updates.
- Facilitates and monitors the tasks associated with ERM program implementation and improvement. Collects feedback from the risk owners regarding the effectiveness and shortcomings of the existing processes, with continuous improvement in mind.
- Provides detailed operating data and dashboards that are used for internal or external risk communications.
