    Data Engineer

    As a Data Engineer, you will work with technical and business team to understand the business requirements, functional, and technical specifications.

    As a Data Engineer, you will:


    • Design, code, and maintain new complex SQL stored procedures and functions.
    • Review SQL code written by other developers to ensure compliance to coding standards and best practices as well as maximum performance.
    • Work with other engineers to troubleshoot, repair, and performance tune databases.
    • Perform data analysis and data profiling tasks to provide support and recommendations for development and design decisions.


    • Create SSIS packages for data transformation, cleansing, caching, aggregation, staging, and transfer.
    • Define, prepare, execute, and implement data validation and unit testing methods to ensure data quality.
    • Troubleshoot problems that may come up with database environments:
    • Performance issues; replication issues; or operational issues.
    • Maintain reusable development standards that help implement each solution and/or enhancements to existing systems to meet current and future needs.
    Desired Career Experience:


    • Three (3+) years working with relational DBs in a production environment, Microsoft SQL Server versions, and SSIS packages.
    • Three (3+) years experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment required.
    ____Data Technology Architect The Data Technology Architect will be responsible for the management of data repositories, flows and
    security of the supported product.

    As such he/she will be responsible for the ongoing and future development and support of the technology stack associated with data management.

    The incumbent will work closely with the business product owners to define the data requirements and flows for the solution.

    He/She will own the corresponding technical roadmap and will collaborate with the Chief Software Architect and the Security Technology teams to plan, enhance, and maintain the data management platform in alignment with the company standards and technology strategy direction.

    As a Data Technology Architect, the role will have a team of developers/team members reporting directly to him or her and will interface with COE leads (eg Agile, QA) to leverage the key resources required to develop and maintain solution.

    Key duties include:


    • Collaborating with business stakeholders, data analysts, and data engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
    • Developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models to ensure data consistency, integrity, and accuracy.
    • Implementing efficient and scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
    • Designing and optimizing database structures and schemas for performance and scalability.
    • Ensuring data quality and integrity by defining and implementing data governance and data management practices.
    • Defining and implementing data security and access controls.
    • Performing data profiling, analysis, and validation to identify data quality issues and propose remediation strategies.
    • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior data and integration team members
