    Responsibilities:


    • Monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements and identifying problems that arise
    • Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system.
    • Conduct research and make recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
    • Work with the application development team/ System Administrator Teams to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.
    • Creating primary database storage structures (tablespaces) after application developers have designed an application.
    • Creating primary objects (tables, views, indexes) once application developers have designed an application.
    • Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers.
    • Perform database transaction and security audits (access Controls)
    • Ensuring compliance with your Oracle license agreement
    • Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.
    • Conducting Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database
    • Planning for backup and recovery of database information
    • Establish and document appropriate end-user database access control levels
    • Develop, create, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases
    • Backing up and restoring the database
    • Responsible for monthly Oracle patching of databases
    • Documentation of procedures, policies, relationships, and schema
    Job Requirement


    Industry Experience:



    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunications) or any related course
    • 3 years+ experience of Oracle Database technology as a DBA.
    • Must have at least 1-2 years of hands-on DB administration experience on various databases.
    Technical Skills:


    • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex databases, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
    • Experience working knowledge of Microsoft SQL servers / Oracle Databases.
    • Experience in Designing, Backup & Recovery, Performance Tuning and Oracle Database.
    • Experience in Scripting skills in the following arenas: SQL, BASH, Shell, Python or Perl
    • Experience Linux/Unix Operating Systems support experience
    • L78 Experience in all aspects of Oracle database administration; performance.
    • Experience in infrastructure management skills including capacity planning and server architecture design.
    • Experience with storage area network (SAN) based infrastructure monitoring and tuning, version integration and migration.
    • Experience in all aspects of Microsoft SQL Server and or MySQL database administration; performance monitoring and tuning; version integration and migration.
    • Experience and understanding of high availability failover replication and disaster recovery.
    • Certification as a Database Administrator (IBM MS SQL, Oracle Certified Profession)
    Nice to Have Areas


    • Certification in ITIL v3/v4 Service Management Framework.

    • Red Hat Linux certification for current version
