- Collaborate with software engineers on database application design, data modeling, and SQL creation for DDL / DML
- Work with software engineers and DevOps on automating deployment and managing rollbacks of DDL / DML
- Monitor production databases, fine-tune performance, and troubleshoot data-related issues
- Ensure precise database indexing, archiving, reporting, and automation
- Develop and maintain ETL processes
- Over 5 years of experience in a database administration / data engineering role
- 3+ years of experience handling large-scale MySQL databases in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficiency in implementing DDL / DML changes in CI/CD pipelines and utilizing automation tools like Terraform and Liquibase
- Skilled troubleshooter for MySQL-related challenges such as CPU, memory, I/O, and security issues
- Expertise in Linux systems and Bash scripting
- Participate in cross-functional projects in a fast-paced setting
- Effective communication skills in English for technical and non-technical audiences
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent
