    Job Responsibilities

    • Builds and maintains a positive public image for NUSTAR. The PR Specialist creates media, from press releases to social media messages, that shape public opinion of NUSTAR and increases awareness of its brand.
    • Responds to requests for information release or press conference from the media or designating a spokesperson or source of information.
    • Establishes and maintains relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups.
    • Writes and checks press releases and other media communication to promote NUSTAR.
    • Plans or directs the development of programs to maintain favorable public and stockholder views of the NUSTAR's agenda and accomplishments.
    • Coaches client representatives in effective communication with the public and employees.
    • Studies the organization's objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services.
    • Prepares and edits organizational publications, including employee newsletters or stockholders' reports, for internal and external audiences.
    • Updates and maintains NUSTAR's web content.
    • Confers with team to identify trends and group interests and provides advice on business decisions.
    • Performs other related tasks.

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Public Relation, Marketing, Communication, Journalism or any related course.
    • A minimum of 5-7 years related work experience.
    • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Has ability to understand PR and marketing concepts and practices.
    • Has experience handling a press conference and ability to pitch to media.
    • Has ability to run PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives.
    • Has strong project and budget management skills.
    • Must be a quick and enthusiastic learner.
    • Has the ability to think both creatively and strategically.
    • Must be well-organized, able to work with deadlines and flexible.
    • Has strong analytical skill.
    • Has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
