    Role description:

    Team Manager will manage/lead project teams in the collection and analysis of data, and development of design solutions, along with documentation of the findings in a format required by the client. Guide the development of successful client outcomes, through service excellence across multiple capability areas aligned to Arcadis' values. Cultivate insights and solutions and innovate our service offering with clients and within Arcadis. Supports Community / Non-project initiatives that positively impact our ability to retain and attract top talent.

    Role accountabilities:

    • Leads and delivers simple to complex workstreams and projects. Management of design program and project resource planning. Achieves project objectives and stretch objectives as defined for each project via project appraisals
    • Project Planning – Oversee an agreed scope of work and the operational workload of a project team including subcontractors, ensuring work is allocated appropriately and resources are fully utilized. Support to implementation of SOPs through project delivery.
    • Project Delivery – Work collaboratively with other sectors/disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design or solution and to resolve complex technical issues, including cross-sector resource collaboration.
    • Project Development – Develop and maintain a good understanding of the services delivered by Arcadis, of the client's business and the industry sector to facilitate personal networking and to consolidate personal and company credibility in the industry
    • Quality – Review work carried out by colleagues. Oversee and manage the production of, and quality control project deliverables to ensure that these meet or exceed client expectations and Arcadis requirements and comply with national standards and codes of practice.
    • Networking/ Client Focus – Develop effective working relationships with the Project Director/ Manager and with the client and ensure effective communication of progress and changes and the resolution of issues
    • Team Performance – Support for team building, recruitment, and development opportunities. Manage the performance of team members and subcontractors, identifying and ensuring the resolution of any issues as part of overall project objectives. Overview of team PDP objectives and team development.
    • Team development – Lead and provide direction and technical advice to team members, to support them in their delivery of the project and in their professional development
    • New business – Identify opportunities for Arcadis process improvements that improve quality and/or improve efficiency. Develop and review proposal submissions to contribute to the preparation of high-quality winning bids. Promotion of sector design capability across the business.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    The candidate should have a bachelor's or master's degree and experience leading and growing a significant business function within a multinational engineering or professional services firm. For this role, Arcadis values professional experience across the following priority areas:

Be able to provide technical advice to team members, to support them in their delivery on the project and in their professional development. Provide specialist technical advice to senior management on issues relating to their discipline, providing solutions and actively sharing knowledge for the wider GEC.
    • Managing change: Managing change at a management level, growing a start-up, or leading change into other market/services or products, operating with new business models, turning around underperforming businesses, programs or teams and driving standardisation and automation.
    • Data and technology: Adopting data-driven decision making, leveraging data to create and show value. Tech savvy and comfortable and curious about technologies.
