    Indirect Tax Manager, be 100% YOU with MicroSourcing

    An Indirect Tax Manager is expected to:
    • Working knowledge and experience in US sales tax and European VAT rules within major European markets as well as Asia Pac region (GST).
    • Manage relationships with sales tax/VAT authorities.
    • Manage relationships with external VAT advisors.
    • Manage automated systems for VAT/GST and sales tax preparation.
    • Review sales tax/VAT calculations and prepare filings.
    • Identify areas to improve the effectiveness of VAT planning activities and initiate and drive efforts to streamline or improve processes, tools, and reporting – experience with Avalara VAT reporting tool.
    • Create and execute controls to ensure the quality of sales tax/VAT filings.
    • Create and execute controls to ensure correct VAT accounting and reconciliations.
    • Coordinate VAT payments and ensure timely payments.
    • Keep self technically up-to-date with evolving sales tax & VAT/GST tax legislation.
    • Act in an advisory capacity to the business, responding to day-to-day queries and providing VAT support for business projects and the indirect tax implications with them.
    • Liaise with external auditors regarding all VAT/GST and related accounting items.
    • Ensure all month-end processes are actioned on a timely basis.
    What it takes to be part of our team:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. A Master's degree in taxation or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) is strongly preferred.
    • 5+ years of experience in managing indirect taxes, with hands-on experience in the US, Canada, Australia, UK, Belgium, Germany, France, Singapore, and India.
    • In-depth knowledge of global indirect tax regulations and framework.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations.
    • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with tax authorities.
    • Proficient in using tax software and other relevant tools to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency.
