- Must have atleast 1 year experience in working in engineering and maintenance, airport operations, flight operations
- Must have exposure and working knowledge in operations or maintenance in the field of aviation
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Must be proficient with document editing, spreadsheets, and presentation applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and the likes.
- Must have sufficient knowledge of aviation safety and regulatory standards
- Highly analytical, data-driven, systematic thinker, and problem-solver
- Ability to synthesize and communicate insights with different levels in the organization
- Prepares and updates the SMS Manual, including the incorporation of revisions on organizational structure, SMS processes, and procedures in accordance with regulatory, ICAO, and industry best practices
- Monitors, measures and ensures effectiveness of SMS processes such as hazard identification and risk management, safety reporting processes, safety investigation, implementation of safety corrective actions, administration and implementation of the Safety Library, and safety promotion and communication.
- Facilitates and monitors the effectiveness of PAL's Risk Management processes that includes hazard identification, risk assessment and risk mitigation.
- Designs and delivers the established PAL SMS training program for operational personnel, key safety personnel, and Senior Management personnel.
- Monitors and measures safety performance through established safety metrics on different levels of the organization and generates relevant management reports
- Safety promotion and communication that includes distribution of safety information to relevant operational groups, creation and distribution of posters, bulletins and newsletters for safety awareness, and providing SMS guidance to company officials and employees.
