    A global healthcare company is looking dedicated and detail-oriented candidate for an Accountant job to manage the commercial accounting of their entity in Makati City, Philippines.

    About the Accountant Role:
    As an Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the commercial accounting of our client's entity in the Philippines. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of being the key liaison between various teams, ensuring smooth operation of financial processes. Your duties will extend from supporting regular financial close processes to coordinating statutory audits. You will also be instrumental in ensuring tax compliance through diligent preparation of tax returns and proactive interaction with tax authorities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Act as the key point of contact between Shared Services, Commercial and Operations teams
    • Support monthly/quarterly/annual close processes and reporting
    • Coordinate statutory audit, prepare and review financial statements and other statutory reporting
    • Ensure tax compliance including preparation of tax returns, handling tax audits and interactions with tax authorities
    • Liaise for Government audits and submissions, including tender
    • Drive automation opportunities and simplification initiatives
    • Support regional and global reporting requirements such as monthly balance sheet and P&L Flux analysis
    • Ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations
    • Support local, regional and global projects as required

    The ideal candidate for this Accountant role brings a wealth of professional experience in Finance/Accounting, preferably within a multinational environment. Your knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP and Philippines taxes will be crucial to your success in this role.

    Key Requirements:

    • Minimum of five years' relevant professional experience in Finance/Accounting
    • Proven experience in a multinational environment; manufacturing experience is advantageous
    • Good knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP and Philippines taxes
    • Strong analytical skills coupled with excellent communication abilities
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience in JDE, Blackline, Alteryx and W-Desk is beneficial
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or part qualified ACCA/CIMA/CPA
