    Our Retail Banking Group is looking for experienced professionals to join us in BGC in the role of Area Operations Officer.

    The role involves supervising service managers across divisional stores, ensuring sufficient staffing for satisfactory customer experiences. Regular visits identify operational needs, with coaching provided to managers. Enforcement of internal policies and regulatory compliance, including BSP and AMLC requirements from the EWB Money Laundering Prevention Program (MLPP), is paramount.

    What The Role Will Entail

    • Supervise Service Managers within the divisional stores to optimize performance.
    • Ensure stores are adequately staffed with competent personnel for enhanced customer satisfaction.
    • Conduct periodic store checks and visits to assess operational needs and provide necessary support to the operations team.
    • Offer coaching and mentorship to Service Managers during store visits to foster professional development and improve performance.
    • Verify stores' compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including those stipulated by the BSP and AMLC as per the EWB Money Laundering Prevention Program (MLPP).

    What were looking for

    • Preferably seeking candidates with a background in business, specifically in Accounting and Banking.
    • Must have at least 5 years of experience as an Area Operations Officer in the banking industry particularly in Branch Operations with appreciation in Risk Management, Financial Accounting, Audit, and Compliance.
    • With knowledge of the Banking industry, Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Banking Law, Rules and Regulations.
    • Proven leadership experience and strong skills in people development.
