- Minimum of 5 years credit collection experience.

- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- High level of accuracy and good attention to detail.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively through debtor's ledger, whilst identifying issues delaying payments and resolving or escalating appropriately.
- Minimum of intermediate standard of Microsoft Office Applications.
- Previous knowledge and use of accounting packages.
- Excellent reconciliation skills.
- Reminding customers of their dues periodically, especially those with past due accounts.
- Following up customers and requesting payment for overdue accounts centrally.
- Receiving a list of unallocated funds and sorting through these.
- Contacting customers through phone to check if they need a copy of their invoices to reduce chasing of past due accounts.
- Administrative work-receivables mailbox management allocates or re-routes emails to proper point of contact answering customer queries.
- Accepting phone calls and answering customer queries or re-routing the calls to the proper point of contact.
- Spreadsheet reconciliations.
- Building good rapport with the customer and providing excellent customer service.
- Escalating issues to the Credit Manager.

Job Description
As a Credit Officer, you will take on the responsibility of reminding customers periodically about their dues, with a particular focus on those with past due accounts. Your role extends to proactively following up with customers, centrally requesting payments for overdue accounts.
