Focused on Revenue Cycle Management and Advisory services, Ventra partners with private practices, hospitals, health systems, and ambulatory surgery centers to deliver transparent and data-driven solutions that solve the most complex revenue and reimbursement issues, enabling clinicians to focus on providing outstanding care to their patients and communities.
- The Charge Processing Specialist will work to ensure non-post queues are monitored, and patient demographic information is correct. This position will also monitor AIMS to ensure no issues occur with demographic data.
- Requests and manually pulls demographics and reports for processing.
- Performs research of the missing demographics log, maintained internally.
- Requests demographics from multiple contacts and/or accesses remote systems for missing information.
- Monitors and maintains Data Manager system which includes noting demographics worked and entered and issues as they arise.
- Monitoring our AIMS management system for potential charge and demographic issues and trends.
- Monitor, maintain, and process Report Capture Verification processing.
- Enter manual demographics.
- Update insurance mapping errors.
- Performs other related duties as assigned .
- At least one year of medical billing experience required.
- Knowledgeable of medical terminology, medical coding .
- Ability to read, understand, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policies.
- Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner.
- Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative and fast paced environment.
- Basic use of computer, telephone, internet, copier, fax, and scanner.
- Basic touch 10 key skills.
- Basic Math skills.
- Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), and database software skills.
