    Job purpose

    As a Senior Manager Finance, you will contribute to our client's success by maintaining and developing all aspects of our clientu0027s financial accounting processes and related controls. In addition, you will control regulatory reporting and financial risk management matters to help our company and our clients meet their regulatory obligations.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Assist the Head of Finance on all matters relating to the internal management of accounts including consolidation of group entities, VAT preparation, accounts receivable and accounts payable oversight and management, and filing of annual audited accounts.
    • Perform internal accountancy duties in line with your qualifications & experience which includes training and quality control of other team members work.
    • Function as CFO or accountant for clients of the company.
    • Review and maintain clients' financial statements.
    • Assume responsibility for data integrity and entrance of data into client accounting systems when needed.
    • Review supplier / purchase invoices payment vouchers and update payable ledgers.
    • Review customer invoices against the account receivable ledgers.
    • Review and maintain Fixed Assets Registers.
    • Maintain, review and book employee reimbursements.
    • Review vouchers and book petty cash expenses into client accounting systems.
    • Review or reconcile all bank statements and petty cash.
    • Responsible for accruals and provisions and monthly book closing.
    • Responsible for provision of accurate and timely financial information to authorities and internal peers.
    • Review client periodic trial balance, balance sheet, income statement and notes to the accounts.
    • Preparation of regulatory returns and timely submission.
    • Lead and train team in the preparation and processing of financial reports.

    • Manage clients to meet external and internal auditor's needs including ledgers, reports, and schedules.
    • Assist with other assigned duties including accounting, internal audit client or administration roles.
    Experience (is essential to any successful application)
    • 10 plus years of accounting/bookkeeping experience preferably in the financial services sector.
    • Big four experience is a plus.
    • Must be familiar with IFRS/GAAP accounting standards.
    • Experience or knowledge of sales and services tax / VAT.
    • Strong experience of working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
    • Experience of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Oracle etc. is an advantage.
    • Payroll experience would be highly advantageous.

    Qualifications
    • ACCA/CIMA/CA/CFA of country equivalent qualifications are essential.
    • Degree from a respected university with focus on finance & accounting is essential.
